BlabberNet is a communications network with a long history. It was founded in 1999 as a South Africa centric IRC network providing real time text chat facilities to many individuals and companies. As of 2010 the network's aim is to research and provide more modern communications services using XMPP and SIP, in addition to updating the IRC infrastructure.
